A native Houstonian, Dr. Patrick Nicosia believes in providing the highest level of periodontal and implant care available to his patients in Houston, TX and the surrounding area. He consistently expands his knowledge by attending advanced continuing education courses to ensure his practice remains one of the most technically innovative dental specialty practices in the nation.
Dr. Nicosia received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. After completing his residency program and entering private practice, Dr. Nicosia also was a part-time faculty member for six years as an associate professor at The UT Houston School of Dentistry. Dr. Nicosia has more than 30 years of extensive training and experience in periodontic dentistry. He is one of the first periodontists to be trained to utilize guided bone regeneration or bone grafting. He is an oral plastic surgeon with experience in corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Nicosia has received special training to identify potential diseases of the mouth. He also is a highly trained anesthesiologist who can administer IV sedation for certain procedures.
Dr. Nicosia and his wife, Darnellys, a petroleum engineer and native of Venezuela, spend most of their leisure time enjoying the beauties of Laguna Madre and South Padre Island off the Gulf Coast. Dr. Nicosia is an avid catch-and-release fly fisherman. Both are pet lovers and passionate about the care of abused animals.

I and two other family members have used Dr. Nicosia over the past 10 years for dental implants. He’s absolutely the best! He is passionate about his work, uses the latest technology and is honest, kind and professional. His staff is equally excellent. Dr Nicosia was my dentist over 20 years ago before I moved to another city. He is the best and very knowledgeable in his field. I still have my teeth so that is definitely due to his expertise in gum surgery and teeth care. My husband recently started having dental issues and needed to get expert care so of course we made the trip to Houston to see the expert. We are both extremely happy with the dental experience Dr Nicosia and his staff provide for our family.
